How CompareMyFare works for Operators:
Our aim is to increase the everyday use of minicabs in London, and this is how we will acheive our goal:
- Accessibility - By displaying fares from all registered firms covering the customers pick up point, CompareMyfare gives customers access to a wide range of cab firms that would otherwise go unnoticed.
- Transparency - By displaying the prices and customer ratings for all available firms for the journey, CompareMyFare allows customers to make a more informed choice. This will benefit firms offering both competitive pricing and good levels of service.
- Safety - By ensuring all registered cab firms are licenced by the PCO, CompareMyFare looks after the safety of its customers.
- Simplicity - By offering a simple 4 click search to booked process, CompareMyFare keeps simplicity at the core of its operation.
Here in London there are close to 2,500 licensed minicab operators. As an operator you are competing in a vast market. This means that smaller operators looking to deliver on price and service are often out muscled by larger competitors. By registering with Compare My Fare you will gain direct access to the market, and the only charge to you will be a commission for any fare we generate for you. So we only get paid if you do!
Once registered your details will be verified with the PCO, then your account will be activated. Once active you will be able control your Pricing, Coverage, and Availability all through the My Account section per below. Any updates you make are live, and will take effect immediately.
Pricing - Compare My Fare generates fares by taking your Per Mile Charge (for the selected vehicle type), multiplying this by the calculated Road Milage for the jouney, then adding the Initial Charge. This gives you the ability to change your pricing method via the Per Mile Charge, or the Initial Charge, or even a combination of both. You can change these via the My Profile section once logged in.
Coverage - Compare My Fare uses Postcodes when referencing coverage for journeys. As an Operator you can update the areas you cover at any time. This tool allows you fill those empty return journeys. Coverage can be updated via the My Account section (main page once logged in). You can enter up to 10 areas to cover, and can alter these at will.
Availability - Compare My Fare has a live matching system, this gives you the ability to constantly update your availability for fares. This can be done in a number of ways:
1. Current Status - You can toggle this between Open and Closed at any time. When Open you will appear in all customer searches for journeys that you provide coverage for. When closed your teleophone details only will be displayed under any search results for journeys from your coverage area.
2. Postcode Coverage - You can edit the postcodes you cover at any time. This allows you to add coverage for areas where you have cars arriving as a result of another fare. Helping you fill those otherwise empty return journeys.
3. Per Mile Charge - If you enter a per mile charge of 0 for either vehicle type, the system will assume you've done so as a result of no availability. So for example all your MPV's were out on jobs, you could reflect this by changing the Per Mile Charge for MPV's to 0. Your Cars would still show up in searches, but MPV's would not.
